Many audio tracks contain an extra sentence that would make it considerably more challenging for most students to do the listening dictation. These are optional listening sentences for higher level students. For most students, those who are pre-intermediate for example, the audio on an individual track can be stopped before this extra sentence plays (the "extra" sentence appears in red on the transcripts). Even if the extra portion is not played, teachers can refer to it and explain to students as desired, without having students do dictation for them.
