The concept of this series is to connect grammar and communication.
Grammaring 3 covers the verb tenses. This book covers the tenses that are taught in junior high school, allowing students to review them. Students’ abilities to express themselves are boosted by practicing regular/irregular verbs many times. There are many real-life situations to practice in the book, helping to connect rules with useable English.

Each chapter covers the four skills, starting from input and then gradually on to output. An example chapter follows:
Task 1 Verb chunks - 12 sentences to practice with CD in a pair
Task 2A Understand the grammar rules
Task 2B Grammar game
Task 3A One Finger or Two Fingers (Listening activity) – an opportunity to listen to two sentences and understand the difference
Task 3B Interview – using the sentences

Task 4B Dictation – to check the spelling and syntax
Task 5A Write – practice writing the sentences they have learnt
Task 5B Write and Talk – talk about yourself using the sentences

-English uses verb tenses to communicate the “when”. Of course, tenses can often be understood in context, but this book aims for the learner to be able to use the tenses correctly always.
-A Verb chunk is a set phrase with a verb in it. For example, rather than remember the word “listen”, if you remember it in the phrase “listen to music”, it makes it easier to speak natural communicative English.
